About Our Instructors
Francis Johnson | Chief Technology Officer, Tech Impact
Francis Johnson serves as Chief Technology Officer at Tech Impact. Through managed IT, cybersecurity, consulting services, unbiased research and educational resources, Tech Impact has partnered with thousands of nonprofit organizations since 2003. In his capacity as CTO, Francis oversees the delivery of all technology infrastructure projects, cybersecurity, compliance, and support services. He leads a team of engineers and analysts who support the work of thousands of nonprofit staff and volunteers across hundreds of organizations nationally.
Francis is passionate about helping nonprofits build their technology and operational capacity to serve more constituents and communities in an efficient and secure manner. With over 15 years of nonprofit experience, he is constantly seeking new, secure, efficient, and cost-effective ways for organizations to fully adopt technologies that strengthen their missions.
Francis hails from The Gambia in West Africa where he managed an Internet café in his youth before moving to the US to study computer science at Eastern Mennonite University.
Jahzeer Terrell | IT Security Associate, Tech Impact
As Tech Impact's IT Security Associate, Jahzeer Terrell works to support nonprofits in optimizing their security with the resources available to them. Jahzeer began his career troubleshooting machines past warranty and providing technical support for Mac OS while a student at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After experiencing a personal cyber attack, Jahzeer’s passion for IT security was furthered, and he’s been fascinated with how to stop cyberattacks ever since.
