June 2024 SecCheck: A Cybersecurity Action Plan Workshop Registration Closed

5 Jun 2024 - 12 Jun 2024

Two Consecutive Wednesdays
June 5
& June 12, 2024 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM ET

In today’s digital age, nonprofits face high degrees of cybersecurity risk – and far too many aren’t adequately prepared. Knowing the risks that are unique to your organization and assessing them regularly are a critical part of any organization’s security posture and an investment in the organization’s future.

In this 2-session course, our subject matter expert will guide you through a structured approach to addressing important vulnerabilities and mitigating potential risks. Our SecCheck assessment evaluates your organization’s cybersecurity and compliance maturity and offers actionable recommendations tailored to improve your organization's security infrastructure.

Through this course, you will:

  • Understand how cybersecurity aligns with mission outcomes and program productivity.
  • Learn how to assess 7 aspects of cybersecurity that affect your nonprofit.
  • Gain knowledge of projects that can close gaps to achieve your desired maturity level.
  • Prioritize the most critical improvements to meet budget with the biggest impact on mission, program, and staff productivity.

Session 1: Cybersecurity Basics
Cybersecurity upgrades should not be completed ad-hoc or in reaction to failures. A solid cybersecurity plan that assesses and aligns cybersecurity with your mission and program goals will help your organization be more productive and produce better impact for your community. In this session, we will define the process to develop an assessment of current state. Tech Impact will produce and deliver the final report to each participant.

Session 2: SecCheck Assessment Findings
In this session, we will discuss projects that can close gaps found through assessment in each category and prioritize cybersecurity projects to meet budget with biggest impact on mission, program, and staff productivity.
